The BIG 3!

I cant believe how fast the kids are growing up, Marshall turned 3 we had a fun brithday party for him some cousins from out of town were here and Uncle Jared and his family came to see us also. Marshall got some really great gifts, but I think his all time favorite was the GATOR that Dad and Mom got him. He has always wanted a big battery powered car and we were looking at what to get him and Kendall was stuck on the Gator. But it's great because he could have someone ride with him and he could load stuff up in the back if he wants so thats what we got him. After he opened all his other gifts Dad pulled it around to the back yard and we waited to see how long it would take him to notice it and to notice that it was HIS! He just loved it, he pointed to it and stood there for a second then jumped right on and started driving. He's a pretty good driving too, he got the hang of reverse and everything pretty quickly. Uncle David was brave enough to put Taylor in the bed of the truck for a ride.
One of the cakes I made.

What a HAPPY GUY!

On an advernture

So we got a flyer from Build a Bear in the mail the had a "treasure map" so the kids loaded up a couple bags with some stuff and their build a bears and got out the map to set out on an adventure, too cute! I love how the build a bears are sticking out of the backpacks

It's been fun

It's been real fun having the little boat but it was limited to what you could really do with it so we decided to sell it and buy a 4wheeler

T ballers!

The kids played tball and had lots of fun. It took Marshall a little getting used to the game he had a hard time when he didn't get to go after the ball so he would stand there and pout but by the end of the season he realized you have to share and take turns and not every kids should run after the ball especially if it isn't anywhere near you to begin with! Marshall has a really good throwing arm and he is a great hitter. Jenika did very well for her 4th season. She is a good hitter and thrower as well.

Preschool Graduation

Jenika went to the Kiddie Kollege preschool this last year, she had lots of fun and really learned alot. She went to preschool with a couple kids from our ward whom she has become good friends with, Tyler Jacobs, and Morgan Stoddard. Her and Morgan were such cute little friends since they were opposites in that Jenika had dark brown hair and eyes and Morgan had blond hair and blue eyes! They love to play together. At the end of the school year the Kiddie Kollege puts on a "graduation" they sing all the songs they learned throughout the year and most of them got to dress up and preform the parts to some of the songs. Jenika got the "Hawaiian Rainbow" song so she go to wear her swim suit, a grass skirt, a lai and flower head piece. She was so cute all dressed up. All the kids did such a great job!

Marshall, what are you doing?

I think the picture says it all.......he thinks like his dad! We were outside doing some yard work when I realized I hadn't seen Marshall for a little while so I walked around front and there it was on BLOCKS! So funny and so cute he sees his dad blocking up trailers and stuff all the time so he blocked up the little four wheeler. I said "Marshall what are you diong?" He said "I blocked it up so it wouldn't roll away"! What a little cutie, he blocked up his scooter and a couple other ride on toys as well a few days later!

Concrete

So the biggest project for us this summer was our concrete. Boy was it crazy and expensive! We decided on a date to pour the concrete it was a Friday so all the guys who helped had to take the day off work and it was looking like it was going to be a nice day. Then we heard a storm was coming and was hoping we didn't see any of it. Then the pumper truck showed up and the clouds started closing in on us, so the pumper truck guy said if we wanted to call it off we could but we already had all the man power that took the day off from their jobs to help us we couldn't just call it off. We were nervous! So we decided to just try it. It was truly amazing to see the boom of the pumper truck go clear up and over the top of our house, I had never seen that done before, Marshall loved to watch and a couple of the other neighbor boys came to watch and I'm sure half the neighborhood wasn't too happy that we would block most of the road for a couple hours since we live right in the inlet to the neighborhood! So the cement truck showed up and started dumping into the pumper truck and it was on, but so was the rain. It was a full on down pour of rain when they started pouring the cement, and wet and cement usually does not end well, I was so scared. The guys were workin fast to get the stuff on the ground and in place but the rain kept dumping, the guys were getting SOAKED, everyone was nervous of the turnout another cement truck showed up and the Job went on, and so did the rain.

Finally once all the concrete was poured and all the trucks left so did the rain but the back patio wasn't lookin so hot all the water was just floating on top of the concrete it didn't look like it was going to come out of it but the guys got to work on it and it started to look alot better. Then the sun came out, the cement looked good and like it was going to be fine, a true sigh of relief and amazement! Concrete was worked quite a bit more and turned out great till.......of course someone HAD to step in it! It's not a good concrete job till someone steps in it! I don't remember who it was but I'm sure they got plenty of crap for doing it! 20 yards of concrete was poured that day and worth every penny of it! The guys did a great job. While it was drying Marshall was riding his bike and kept asking Kendall if he could ride on it yet and he kept saying "no, it's still too wet" but those words don't mean much to a curious 3 year old boy, needless to say he rode on it, but just enough to satisfy his urge, he rode in about a foot and right back out luckily it was dry enough that you can barely see the tire marks, but they are there! Kendall asked Marshall what happened to the cement and Marshall just said "I rode on it" too cute! The whole thing turned out beautifully!

Purple Grapes

Jenika played spring soccer through the Clinton City Rec. She did pretty good this year, she scored a couple goals, met some new girls, and had lots of fun! It's funny how small of a world it really is, Jenikas soccer coaches was our neighbors brother and his wife, they were goog coaches as well. They were so thoughtful and made each of the girls a metal with their name and team name on it. Their color was purple and decided on being called the purple grapes!

Lemonade anyone??

Lately Jenika has had this thing with wanting to sell Lemonade, she has done it a couple times with some of her little friends at Grandma Weavers house and is always begging to do it again. So when Grandma Sprau kept asking her what she wanted for her birthday she said a Lemonade stand and Grandma took her seariously and bought her one! Her first chance to use it was when we went over to Uncle Davids house for Easter. Jenika sold Lemonade to everyone who wanted a cup and loved doing it! I think she made around $3

Beach towel backpacks!!!

So we love to play in the water and go to the and stuff so I had this idea hangin' out in my head on a water friendly backpack. So I bought a couple towels and figured out how to make little towel backpacks for the kids to put their swimming stuff and sunblock in...I came up with these! I think they really like 'em

Set in stone (cement)

We had lots of projects to do this summer we put in our fence and we poured a mow strip underneath it for stability, water control, a nice clean look and easy to mow around. So when we were setting the pole for the gate we decided that was the best place for ours kids to leave their mark. We thought about hand prints but Kaycie was only 2 months old it was easier to do their feet...so we did!
